Typical FAQ's

  1. What is your subscription policy?
Your subscription through PayPal provides a secure means of payment. Your subscription entitles you to both publications -- the Mortgage Bulletin (published weekly) and the Mortgage Commentary (published monthly).

The initial two months' subscription for both products costs $50.00. At the end of this trial period, PayPal will bill your credit card: $150.
  2. Oops! I accidentally unsubscribed. How do I resubscribe?
    1. Click the "Subscribe" link on the navigation bar.
    2. At the bottom of the page, you will see a "Resubscribe to MortgageMemos" button.
    3. Click on it.
    4. You will be directed to paypal.com
    5. Follow the instructions at paypal, including the instruction at the very end (wait 10 seconds to be redirected to mortgagememos.com).
    6. That's it! You should be subscribed now.
  3. Special Note Regarding PayPal.
If you decide to change the credit card you use for PayPal, please activate a replacement card before canceling the existing card. If you cancel first, PayPal will automatically cancel your subscription and you will have to re-subscribe. In the event you need to re-subscribe, you must use your existing user name and password as this will save all our personal profile information. We use PayPal to process subscription payments because it is a simple and highly secure system for you. The security firewall that protects you prevents us from accessing your PayPal account and/or taking any action with respect to that account.
  4. Why do we need your PayPal account before you subscribe?
After you establish your subscription with PayPal, they send us a notification of your payment. We need to know your PayPal account name so we can apply the payment to the right MortgageMemos account.
  5. What is your paypal account?
Your paypal account is the email address that is established as the identification of your paypal account. If you have more than one email address associated with your paypal account, please enter the default email here, so we can recognize that your payment belongs to your account.

  10. How can I determine if the Mortgage Bulletin is helping me?
The most effective way to determine the value will also add to the value. Deliver it consistently each week for a couple of months, then ask the recipients for feedback. This practice opens new and unique conversations with your targeted audience. You will find that the recipients appreciate the Mortgage Bulletin and even more important, that they appreciate you asking them about it.
  11. How can I make the Mortgage Bulletin more valuable to my targeted audience?
From time to time, ask the recipients if they would like any particular topics to be addressed in future Bulletins, and pass back to us any suggestions that these conversations produce. If a suggested topic is used, you will have made "points" with your target, thus producing added value for you and for them.
  12. Can I put my company logo on your publications?
Yes. The layout of the Mortgage Bulletin will accommodate your choice of the following: one picture; two pictures; or one picture and a logo. The layout of the Mortgage Commentary will accommodate one or two pictures on page one and a logo on page two.
  13. Can I write my own personal message?
Yes. You have a limited space for your own message which appears at the bottom of your profile information. To write your message, go to the "Edit Your Profile" page and follow the instructions.
  14. What are the best ways for me to distribute the Mortgage Bulletin?
This depends on your audience. You have options: download, copy and deliver in person; download, copy and mail; or send the PDF file by email. If you deliver it in person, the recipient is more likely to read it and then save it. Next best is snail mail. Both of these methods get something physical in the hands of your sources. If you prefer, e-mail is quicker and requires less effort on your part, but emails can be ignored as we all know. Best to put something concrete in their hands. Remember the main purpose for the Mortgage Bulletin is to help establish and build personal relationships with your referral sources.
  15. What are the best ways to distribute the Mortgage Commentary?
The preferred means of distribution is snail mail, however this of course, is up to you, and depends on your targeted audience. The mortgage Commentary can be used as a monthly, a bi-monthly, or a quarterly. This allows you to segregate your targeted recipients into different categories for distribution frequency, depending on their importance to you. To one group you may mail monthly, to another, bi-monthly, and to another, quarterly.
  16. Can I use the Bulletin and Commentary to joint market with my referral sources?
Yes, in addition to your own personal profile, each publication is designed to allow an additional set of personal profile information. You can insert your Realtor's picture, company name, phone, fax, email, etc. Instructions are found on the Member Area page.
